What is ‘The Dublin Pass’ visitor card?
The Dublin Pass is a tool which will:
• Attract additional visitors to a city
• Encourage them to stay for a longer duration
• Persuade them to spend more during their stay
• Deliver additional value to the destination
The concept behind the visitor card is simple, with the aim being
to offer visitors the best in attractions, leisure pursuits, sightseeing,
shopping, service and restaurant offers, all in one complete package – i.e.
an overall ‘visitor experience’. The purchase price covers
entrance to attractions and gives access to special offers, added
value and preferential rates at shops, theatres and restaurants.
The Dublin Pass also offers Flexibility, Convenience, Variety and
Savings:
Flexibility
Passes are available in a variety of durations (eg. 1 day/2 day passes
etc.) and the ‘smart’ chip is not activated until the
first visit, allowing the holder the freedom to see the city when
they choose. Passes can be purchased in advance of a holiday and
used at a later date.
Convenience
The ‘smart’ chip eliminates cash transactions at attraction
admission points. The technology allows the holder to beat the queues
and gain ‘fast-track’ entry into attractions at key locations
including Guinness, Dublin Zoo and Kilmainham Gaol. The Dublin Pass
has an accompanying guidebook covering all participants and benefits
included. A location map is also featured so the visitor can plan
their route.
Variety
Creates a level playing field with attractions offering free entry.
Brings together the best in attractions and services for the city
in one complete package. From castles, museums and art galleries
to the lively spirit of Temple Bar The Dublin Pass is packed with
interesting and diverse places to explore. Whether a first time visitor
wanting to see the highlights or a Dubliner looking for something
new, The Dublin Pass has it all!
Savings
The more you see the more you save.
Longer duration passes offer the greatest savings when looked at
as a daily rate, eg. “See Dublin for less than €15 per
day!”
